Singer Leona Lewis has confessed despite sharing a bond with mentor Simon Cowell, she continues to be scared of his comments.

The 24-year-old star, who won Cowell’s UK TV talent show ”The X Factor” in 2006, said she gets the jitters thinking about his reaction to her recording material.

“He didn”t come to the studio but I”d play him songs down the phone. It’’s scary and you think, ”Please like it!” We”ve formed more of a bond and we can be honest with each other,” the Daily Telegraph quoted her as saying.

Lewis, who has become a multi-platinum selling artist and three time Grammy Award nominee, further revealed she still gets star-struck when meeting other A-listers.

She added: “I was star-struck when I met Samuel L Jackson and Daniel Day-Lewis at the Golden Globes. I was excited when I met Nelson Mandela, too. I performed at his birthday in 2008. I was really honoured.”
