‘Heartbroken Cheryl Cole surviving on peppermint tea after split’

Girls Aloud member Cheryl Cole’s weight is said to have plunged again following her split from footballer hubby Ashley, as she has been only on a diet of peppermint tea.

Cheryl, 26, who is holed up at the Surrey home she shared with Ashley, has barely eaten for three weeks and has lost 5lbs, leaving friends worried for her health.

Friends have revealed that the heartbroken singer is so upset about her break-up with the soccer star she has no interest in food.

“Cheryl was really happy with her weight and appearance before Christmas. She had put some weight on and was comfortable. But since the latest storm broke she has lost her appetite completely,” the Sun quoted a friend as saying.

“All she will touch is peppermint tea. Her mum has been cooking up lovely homemade soup but she is not interested. The house is full of fresh food and bags of shopping which have gone completely untouched.

“She has lost at least five pounds, which on her tiny frame is a lot. Last week she channelled all her anger into rehearsing for her Brits appearance and that burned off a lot of calories,” the friend added.

Harrison Ford uses jet to buy cheeseburger!

Harrison Ford has revealed that he often makes jet journeys to buy a cheeseburger.

The Indiana Jones star began flying when he was 52 and after gaining his licence, he went on to buy several aircraft, which he keeps at Santa Monica Airport in California, reports the Daily Star.

He recently revealed in an interview the extent of his love for piloting, telling Live magazine, “Learning to fly is a work of art. I”m so passionate about flying I often fly up the coast for a cheeseburger. Flying is like good music; it elevates the spirit and it’’s an exhilarating freedom.”

However, the 67-year-old has been slammed by environmental activists over the comments.

And Dr. Wendy Buckley, director of the website Carbonfootprint.com, has urged Ford to set an environmental example and cut back on his flying.

“Flying is a huge source of carbon emissions and making unnecessary journeys by plane can no longer be seen as responsible to our environment,” she said.

“Stars like Harrison Ford need to embrace the huge opportunity to lead by example in the battle against climate change – reduce their overall lifestyle carbon footprint and carbon offset those unavoidable emissions,” she added.

Kate Winslet’s Oscar is in her bathroom!

Kate Winslet has said she keeps her Oscar award she won for ‘The Reader’ in her bathroom.

The actress has placed the golden statuette in the washroom so that guests “can sneakily have a little [hold] and put it back down again.”

“Because basically everybody wants to touch it, everybody wants to hold it and go ”Oh, my gosh,” and ”How heavy is it?” So I figured if I put it [in there], then people can avoid the whole, ”Where’’s your Oscar?” thing,” People magazine quoted her as saying on the U.K. TV show GMTV.

Winslet further mentioned she likes dressing up during the award season and is looking forward to 82nd Annual Academy Awards.

She said: “It’’s great to wear lovely dresses and to just experience those moments of dress up, especially as a mum, because you get so few moments to feel good in your own skin and wear a lovely gown.

Elle Macpherson reveals how she keeps in shape

Supermodel Elle Macpherson has revealed how she keeps her body in shape.

“I have a very holistic perspective on health. I choose to look after my body from a Chinese medicine perspective, which promotes and maintains wellness rather than treats illness,” the Daily Telegraph quoted her as telling The News of the World newspaper in the UK.

“I have acupuncture regularly and I see a Chinese doctor who treats most common ailments with herbs.

“Maintenance is a concept for me across the board. For example, every six months I go to my doctor to have ultrasound checks on my breasts, ovaries and uterus,” she added.

Elle, 46, talked about how she cares for her body.

“These days I practise wellness over fitness. I feel I”ve discovered the things that are really important to maintaining health as I”ve got older because my body has become more sensitive,” she said.

“Number one is sleep. Often when I don”t sleep enough I notice a difference in the way I respond to everyday circumstances. Five hours sleep as opposed to eight makes a huge difference to my well being. Sleep can also be a great detox for the body, giving it time to regenerate so it can function more efficiently on every level,” she added.

Macpherson also revealed drinking water is essential to her.

“I have six 500ml bottles that I refill every day. I put them on the kitchen table or on my desk and I count them down towards the end of the day. It’’s a good trick because every time I walk past them I can pick up a bottle and drink it as I walk around. I make sure those bottles are gone by the time I go to bed.”

Elle also revealed her diet.

“Diet is very important to me and particularly for my children, as I have seen that low blood sugar levels can affect their moods along with excess sugar, salt, preservatives and food colourings.

“From a nutritional perspective, organic food is really important. I can”t stress enough the importance of eating non-processed food where possible. I try to buy Fairtrade and local fruit and vegetable produce that’’s in season.”

Elle said that exercise is vital for her but it has changed over the years.

“When I was younger and had more time on my hands, I would run six miles or go to the gym every day. It didn”t take a lot for me to stay in shape because genetically speaking I was born with good architecture. As I”ve aged, I”ve realised that continuous strenuous exercise isn”t necessarily the best thing for my body. Strength and flexibility are really important so I choose to do different things,” she said.

“When I”m in London, I”ll do Pilates or yoga and I”ll work with my trainer.

“I”m gentler on my body than I used to be. It’’s not that easy because I don”t have the same physique as I did when I was 20 and there’’s a temptation to do what used to work for me when I was younger. I”ve now realised that a more gentle, consistent, self-loving approach is more beneficial. As well as yoga and Pilates, I choose sports I love. I go water-skiing every morning when I”m in warmer climates, and I go skiing when I can in winter. I love to hike, surf and paddleboard. I do sport I really enjoy,” she added.

Oscar nominee Colin Firth has confessed he is sick and tired of being repeatedly referred to as Mr. Darcy.

The British actor expressed his fury at being stuck with the name of the Pride and Prejudice character that he played 15 years ago.

“I”m not remotely interested in Pride and Prejudice in any way and haven”t watched it since doing it,” the Sun quoted him as saying.
